This CD produced by Wendell Harrison features ancestor master congero and trumpet player Jerry Gonzalez. Jerry was the band leader of the famed Fort Apache band based in NYC. The CD is full of excellent compositions and piano playing by Wise, with renderings of the great McCoy Tyner. Harrison's arrangements of Wise's compositions reminds you of the Fania All Stars.
